Parkstone Baptist Church gathers together each Sunday morning from 10.30am.
We usually meet for about 70 minutes. Most folk stay on for a while longer since we enjoy each other's company, usually with a drink of tea, coffee or water in hand.
Folk tend to start arriving from around 10.15am, to greet each other and have a chat together before we begin at 10.30am.
What's coming up on Sundays?
We are just taking our first steps into the book of Acts, which records how the apostles and disciples made steps toward forming a new community of faith which would continue to follow the teachings of Jesus.
En route to Acts we spent a couple of weeks taking an overview of Luke's gospel as we see a clear connection between the two books based on the very first verse of Acts:
"In my former book, Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach".
We pondered just who 'Theophilus' might be and how Luke's gospel is good news, especially for anyone who feels like an outsider looking in (you can view a summary on YouTube here).
We are now looking forward to discovering from Acts how Jesus' actions and teaching continue on through his followers! In these early chapters we have a number of good friends of PBC coming along to help us on our journey.
